MY PORTFOLIO
NARRATIVE HEAVY POINT AND CLICK
Project Manager, Documenter, Sound Designer, Assistant Narrative Designer
1NF0RM4T10N was a project I completed for a ‘Gamification’ class during the third year in the Bachelor of Game Design. My team had three members: Lucas Miranda, Tommy Nguyen, and myself. For this project I took on the roles of project manager, sound designer, and documenter. Looking to create a game that would teach its players an important lesson, as a team we decided to teach players the importance of their actions online, and how those actions could have real-world affects. We all conducted research on the topic and decided to create 1NF0RM4T10N, a narrative-heavy point-and-click game. This game was created in Unity, and all assets were made by our asset creator.
3D PLATFORMER RACING GAME
Project Manager, Level Designer, Sound Designer
Run Boi was a project for my ‘Design Practice’ class in my second year of the program. My team was made up of three members: Benjamin Dookram, Hamzah Kashmiri, and myself. For this project, I took on the roles of Project Manager, Sound Designer, Level Designer, and Documenter. We created a game inspired by another game’s mechanics, and to document our process. We chose to take inspiration from ‘Fall Guys’. This game was created in Unity, and we used multiple pre-made asset packs from the unity store.
NARRATIVE BIBLE/LEVEL
Level Designer, Narrative Designer
Tales of Lost was a project for both my ‘Level Design’ and ‘Narrative’ class in my third year of the program. My team had two members, Benjamin Dookram and myself. For this project I took on the roles of Level and Narrative Designer. The original task was to create a level inspired by another game; I chose to make an island from Sea of Thieves. Later that week, I was tasked with creating any type of story for my Narrative class. I chose to combine the two assignments into one project with a level driven by a narrative that Benjamin and I created. This level was created in Unreal Engine, and I used multiple pre-made asset packs from the Unity store.
2D INFINITE PLATFORMER
Level Designer, Sound Designer
Piece of Cake was a project for the Bachelor of Game Design’s special program-wide design challenge, which I participated in during my first year in the program. This design challenge takes place twice a year, where teams consist of a mixture of first-, second- and third-year students in the program. For this specific design week, my team created an arcade game that was playable on an arcade cabinet. My team had five members: Namnam Goodarzi, Sebastian Swarney, Leann Sterling, Anna Tkachenko, and myself. For this project. I took on the roles of Project Manager, Sound Designer, Level Designer, and Documenter. This game was created in Unity, and all assets were created by the team.
