DESCRIPTION

The game is a 2D infinite platformer, where players endlessly jump upwards, avoiding hazards, and attempting to get a high score. The theme is sugary and bright, and the enemies/hazards are portrayed as vegetables. The player plays as a Jell-O, which collects maraschino cherries, and uses cakes as bounce pads. At the end of the game, players can see their total score and other players’ high scores to compare how well they did.

CHALLENGES

The largest challenges we had to overcome was working as a team and learning new skills. This was my first-time level designing, and one of my first times working on a team-based project in the program. I learned new skills including, pacing/flow from my teammates, and our team worked well together to create something of which we were proud.

SKILLS

I gained a lot of knowledge and skills throughout the course of this project. Being a first year, my upper-class peers taught me a lot about game design, and the importance of scope. Thanks to these lessons, we were able to meet our deadlines and create we had set out to originally make.
